Along with announcing the new world’s thinnest gaming laptop today, Razer has also unveiled a new flagship 17-inch gaming laptop called Razer Blade Pro. The new Razer Blade Pro is an evolution of the first 17-inch portable gaming laptop Razer released in 2012, that model was named simply Razer Blade.

During the evolution process Razer has upgraded performance and expanded the capabilities of the Switchblade User Interface (SBUI). The Razer Blade Pro laptop will ship with Intel’s upcoming Haswell processors, a 128GB mSATA SSD (256GB and 512GB options available for more money), 8GB of DDR3 1600 MHz RAM, and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M 2GB GDDR5 dedicated GPU.

Razer is aiming the Razer Blade Pro at professionals in the software development, photographers and audio/video content production fields. Those professionals will benefit from the newly updated SBUI which has apps like GMAIL and Twitter, and support for quick access tools in professional programs like Adobe Photoshop®, Adobe Premiere® Pro, Maya®, and GIMP.

With all of those new features working together the Razer Blade Pro can play the role of premium gaming laptop when you’re taking a break or premium high-performance laptop when you need to work.
